Fasten your seatbelts! Here's the second chart this week from Yoko Kanno. Gateway has a cool, quirky opening in a second line feel that quickly transitions into a fast swing. Solos can be extended from E-H or played exactly like the recording. More advanced Jazz combos will not only enjoy improvising over the chord changes, but also on some of the rhythmic hits as well. Trombone and tenor sax carry the melody throughout with some help from the guitar. Great for any part of a concert or festival set!
